I am an Accredited  member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP) with a degree in Humanistic and Integrative Counselling and work in private practice helping clients overcome a range of problems. I feel that counselling is an amazing and life changing process that can produce long lasting results.  I have been in practice since 2012 and have a wealth of experience working one to one with clients.

I offer short or long term one to one counselling for young people (16 +) and adults and counselling for trainee counsellors. I also offer supervision for counsellors and those working in the charity sector.

My style is compassionate and engaging as I believe that therapy is fundamentally about developing trust between us to allow you to have the confidence to make changes.  We will review our work together periodically to make sure that we remain focused on your problems whilst allowing time to fully explore what is causing the unhappiness in your life.

Many of my clients seek help for anxiety, depression, feeling angry or sad. Some want to understand themselves better or gain insight into their relationships. Others are at a crossroads in their life and need someone neutral to explore and support them through this.

Whatever you are struggling with come and talk about it!

I also have extensive experience in counselling both men and women who are victims or survivors of domestic violence and abuse.  I have found that much of this work is in helping clients to understand and come to terms with what has happened to them so that they can rebuild their lives and start to be able to trust people and their own judgement again. Often clients feel that they have lost their identity as they have been worn down with the abuse. We can work together to discover who you were and look at who you would like to be. This is usually long term work to enable us to carefully and compassionately explore what has happened and to hopefully let go of your past enough to enable you to live the way you choose.
