Sarah Davenport Counselling Privacy Statement.

General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) May 25th 2018.

This privacy policy explains how I, Sarah Davenport, use and protect any information that you give me when you use this Service. 

I am committed to ensuring that your privacy is protected.  Should I ask you to provide certain information, by which you can be identified when using my service, then you can be assured that it will only be used in accordance with this privacy statement.

The information provided by yourself on the new client intake form will be used by me only to contact you about appointments, and for any safeguarding issues. I will not contact you for any other reason. This information will be kept in accordance with the GDPR.  I will keep basic records for 3 years and therapy notes for 3 months after the end of your therapy, or when I last hear from you. Notes after this time will be shredded. 

You have the right to ask to see this information I hold about you, please ask me and you can view it in a session. You can ask me to change any information that I hold about you that is incorrect. You have the right to ask me to delete information that I hold about you, which I will do save for that which I have a legal obligation to keep- for example, my business tax purposes. 

In the event of my demise, in accordance with my Clinical Will, the executor will contact you to inform you. 

If you wish to complain about how I handle your date, in the first instance please contact me, Sarah Davenport who is the Data Controller at the practice. If your complaint is not resolved to your satisfaction you can contact the Information Commissioners Office:
